Questions, answered

What authors most often ask before working with us.

Who do you work with?

Independent and self-published authors of fiction and nonfiction: first-time authors preparing to publish, published authors whose books are hard to find, and authors planning a launch, a relaunch or a long-term platform.

Do I need to know which service I need?

No. Tell us about the book and the result you want. We assess where it stands and recommend the right first step, often a single discipline rather than a full package.

How much does it cost?

Every engagement is scoped to the book. After your consultation you receive a written proposal with the work, the timeline and the fee, before any paid work begins. Advertising budgets are always kept separate from our fees.

Do you guarantee results?

No honest house can. Results depend on the book, the market, timing and platforms. What we do commit to, in writing, is a clear scope, named specialists, defined deliverables and agreed review points.

Who will work on my book?

The specialists best suited to your book’s needs. You will know exactly who is responsible for each part of the work before it begins.

Who owns the work?

You keep the rights to your manuscript and any material you already own. Ownership and usage rights for commissioned work, such as a cover or a website, are set out in your project agreement.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds depend on your signed project agreement, the work already completed and any third-party costs already committed. Approved third-party expenses are generally non-refundable.

Do you work with authors outside the United States?

Yes. We work remotely, so authors can work with us wherever they live, and this site is available in twelve languages.

How soon will I hear back?

Within two business days of sending your consultation request.
